PPC offers a wide selection of pressure and wiper packing to meet the needs of our customers. These rings are the elements that make the seal, and compensate for wear, changes in temperature, and movement of the compressor rod. PPC packing uses techniques developed in the polyurethane industry. Today we supply many types of packing and wiper rings. The following illustration is of the basic styles of pressure packing for both lubricated and non-lube designs:

Wiper rings can be used in combination with sealing rings. These ring prevent crankcase oil from passing into the cylinder and in some instances to prevent condensate and cylinder or packing lubricates from entering in the crankcase.
